To prevent plywood, bamboo and coco from chipping off, apply paper masking tape on the area to be cut.

Chipped materials can be retouched/ repaired by using fast glue or cyanoacrylate adhesive.

Router Cutting – speed recommended is more than 20,000 RPM

Drilling – should be done at the corner of the coco shell chips as the coco shell chips are curve, so there is a space between the coco chips and the plywood on the center part. The drill pressure on the center part may cause the coco shell chips broken. But if it will be drilled on the center part, use of router or trimmer is recommended.

After cutting, rough edges can be sanded using power tool with grit # 50 grinding disc or hand sanding using grit # 100 sand paper.

Fastening

Wood screw on the center part is needed use the following method:

Make a hole on the coco shell as big as screw head or more using router or trimmer then make a hole as big as the screw body on the plywood part in order the screw will only pinch the plywood part.

Close the hole on the coco shell part by using Timbermate water based wood putty, select putty color similar to coco shell’s color.

Above procedures are also suitable to any Bamboo Laminated Panels and Cirkulo Collections.

Proper Handling of Architectural Laminated Panels

Untitled-1

  1. Make sure that all 4 sides (corners) of Architectural Laminated Panels  do not hit any hard objects that may damage the panels during handling.
  1. If panels will be carried in lying position , they must be carried holding on the width side and not on the length side or corner areas as doing so can make the panels break at the center portion.

3.Mishandling of panels and making it bend several times may cause damages on the panel.

  1. At least 2-3 persons can carry single piece of Architectural Laminated Panels.Untitled-3
